In the whirlwind of chocolate boxes, Valentine's Day dinners, floral arrangements, and of course candy hearts, how do we recognize a different kind of love, one that empowers others to serve their community?
RED VELVET has held strong in our belief that community devotion is best demonstrated by the organizations, nonprofits, and charities that give back to others in need. Cupid struck us with the community lovin’ bug and we can’t help but give it to you too.
Each RED VELVET team member had the opportunity to share a little bit about the initiatives they support. We wanted to spotlight each of these organizations for all they do to spread the love.

ORGANIZATIONS
ADVANCING LIFE FOUNDATION
The ASEA Advancing Life Foundation consists of 4 main efforts: clean water, education, child sex trafficking, disaster relief and food insecurity. They achieve these goals by providing both manpower and funding.
ART FROM
THE STREETS
Art From the Streets mission is to provide a safe and encouraging environment in which the positive spirit and creativity for those experiencing homelessness are nurtured through their own artistic expression.
AUSTIN LIFE CHURCH
Austin Life Church is devoted to offering services and worship to the Austin Community. Their volunteer and mission groups travel the world to provide assistance where others need it most.
AUSTIN PETS ALIVE!
Austin Pets Alive! strives to find forever homes for rescue animals across the state. Their two thrift store locations give their volunteer team resources and funding to support tens of thousands of adoptions a year.
BREAKTHROUGH CENTRAL TEXAS
Breakthrough Central Texas is committed to helping students reach their full potential as the first member of their family to earn a college degree. More than just supporting students in their college journey, they strive to support and educate students' families and communities.
CAROL’S KINDNESS+
Carol's Kindness sources usable food that would have otherwise been thrown away from grocers, restaurants, and other food industry sources and make it available to local families and individuals living with food insecurities.
CENTRAL TEXAS FOOD BANK
Collects non perishables and food donations to create a welcoming and inclusive grocery experience for all. They are dedicated to making food available to all with no stipulations. The Central Texas Food Bank brings over 50 million meals to those in need every year.
CREATIVE REUSE
Located in East Austin, the Creative Reuse store collects a variety of gently used crafting materials and sells them at a heavily discounted rate. They also offer workshops, creative open studios, and other community events to share their love of sustainable crafting.
THE CONTEMPORARY AUSTIN
The Contemporary Austin - Art School is committed to inspiring our community through experiences with contemporary art. Their main initiatives include the Laguna Gloria Art Fund, Education Fund and Tree Fund. Each supports the museum and its patrons in different ways.
GIRLS EMPOWERMENT NETWORK
The Girls Empowerment Network strives to "ignite the power" within girls across the Austin community. They hold teaching seminars, workshops, summer camps, and tons more focused on the development of young girls into future leaders.
HOPE FAMILY THIRFT
The Hope Family Thrift Store was created to provide financial support to the Austin Disaster Relief Network, provide a clean, organized distribution center for disaster survivors to receive free clothing, shoes and goods at affordable prices to the local community.
THE LIBRARY COLLECTIVE
The Library Collective is a global organization providing learning, networking, and idea-sharing opportunities for curious librarians, creating a supportive and inclusive space to foster professional development.
PIERS PARK SAILING CENTER
PPSC focuses their efforts on social and environmental justice through marine science and community sailing, providing accessible and enriching opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and identities. They strive to create a unique and diverse community with deep ties to the neighborhood and landscape.
PLANNED PARENHOOD
Planned Parenthood provides education and resources to hundreds of millions of people who are searching for individualized affordable healthcare options. They support every person's right to bodily autonomy and strive to serve others regardless of circumstance.
RODEO AUSTIN
Rodeo Austin focuses on youth development, agriculture education, scholarships, volunteering, internships and more. Millions attend their annual fairs and rodeos to support their community through engaging gritty fun.
