Challenge

In year's past, Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) hired entertainers like sumo wrestlers, retired boxers, etc. to compete in the ring for this annual fundraiser but they knew they needed to take the experience up a notch to keep donors’ interest high and coming back every year.

Solution

As their first agency hired, RED VELVET challenged the status quo with one simple question: Why not rethink the format and compel attendees to (literally) put a little more skin in the game? We encouraged the client to train their OWN members and box in the ring. The competitive nature of the contestants swung into high gear and the training began with our guidance.

Since RED VELVET’s involvement, this event is looked to as THE leading black tie event in Austin, and surpasses its annual goal each year. Over our 10 years of partnership, Knockout Night attendance has increased to over 1700 people and funds raised have nearly doubled. In fact, the success of this program has inspired other Real Estate Council chapters in major metros to put on Knockout NIghts of their own!.
