Favor, the Texas-only delivery platform known for championing local restaurants, wanted to bring its annual “How Texas Orders In” campaign to life beyond data and statistics. The campaign highlights year-end ordering trends and the unique ways Texans use Favor, anything from taco cravings to coffee runs. To celebrate its loyal community and restaurant partners, Favor sought a creative way to transform these insights into a real-world experience that could surprise customers, showcase a beloved Austin restaurant, and generate authentic social content rooted in local culture.

Favor partnered with RED VELVET to develop a surprise-and-delight activation that would bring restaurant experiences directly to customers’ doors. The concept needed to feel playful, scalable, and distinctly Texan while creating memorable in-person moments and engaging social-first content. Favor envisioned surprising a small group of loyal, high-value customers and capturing authentic reactions that could extend the experience online. The activation also needed to highlight a local restaurant partner and be produced within a tight timeline across multiple locations for video capture.

A wrapped Favor food truck, complete with a custom hat topper, brought a Tacodeli kitchen on wheels to three loyal customers’ homes across Austin. Hosted by local influencer Rachel of @512Bites, the experience captured authentic reactions as guests enjoyed custom tacos prepared fresh onsite. RED VELVET led creative strategy, location scouting, production planning, influencer sourcing, and post-production editing, delivering social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube that generated over 2M impressions.
